September: A Month for New Beginnings
There’s something about September that feels like a fresh start. Maybe it’s the back-to-school energy in the air, or the quiet shift in the seasons as summer begins to soften into autumn. Last year, September ended up being my favourite month of all. I leant heavily into the magic of the seasons changing, cozied up with the longer evenings, and enjoyed the thrill of my sea swims being noticeably chillier.
With those warm memories in mind, I can’t help but step into this September with the happy expectation that it will bring good things again.
And that brings me neatly to a little aside on expectation. Our minds are remarkably powerful when it comes to shaping our experiences. If we anticipate something going well, we’re more likely to notice opportunities, approach challenges with calmness, and allow ourselves to enjoy the process. In hypnotherapy, we use this principle all the time – helping the subconscious to expect positive outcomes so that change becomes not only possible but natural.
That brings me nicely to a couple of announcements, as I move into September with a few small but exciting changes:
From the 9th of September, my hourly rate will increase from £60 to £65. This reflects both the reality of the changing financial temperature, as well as the experience and confidence I’ve gained in my practice over the past two years.
From October, I’ll be re-shaping my working week with balance at the forefront. I’ll be seeing clients one evening a week on Wednesdays. My Tuesday online availability will move to Friday mornings, while Wednesdays and Thursdays will stay just the same.
Alongside this, after nearly eight happy years, I’ll be stepping down from my role as an advisor at Elixir Health and Wellbeing. This is to allow me to focus more of my energy on hypnotherapy, which continues to inspire me every day. I will, of course, still be welcoming in-person clients at the lovely Treatment Room at Elixir, and I very much remain part of the Elixir family.
I realise that’s quite a lot of information all at once, so thank you for bearing with me. These changes are about keeping my work sustainable, so I can continue to give the best of myself to my clients.
As always, if you have any questions about what this means for you, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I’d love to hear from you.
Here’s to a September filled with fresh beginnings, positive expectations, and good things ahead.
